Steve Schaefer

Steve joined HealthSouth in December 2008. He has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the healthcare field. Under his leadership, the hospital has built upon its community reputation for delivering high quality care and exceptional patient experiences. The hospital exceeds benchmarks in patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes and employee satisfaction.

Steve has extended HealthSouth’s reach and commitment in the community with his involvement with Leadership Pikes Peak, the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association and the Memorial Task Force.

Steve completed his first Ironman and he enjoys golf, biking, outdoor activities, and being an avid Dad.
